FairSearch comment on filing of OIP complaint on Android
FairSearch statement on filing of an additional complaint with the European Commission against Google’s Android operating system by the Open Internet Project on 6 March, 2016:
Brussels, 8 March 2017 – Following FairSearch’s initial complaint with respect to Google’s abusive practices on the mobile front, a number of additional Android-related complaints have been filed with the European Commission and other authorities worldwide. This new development is yet more evidence of the widespread concerns engendered by Google’s abusive practices. FairSearch supports the European Commission’s efforts to require undistorted competition, and we urge the European Commission to conclude this case, and find Google liable for violating EU competition rules.
