If you’re traveling for Thanksgiving, you’re in good company. According to the Air Transport Association over 24 million Americans will be flying for the holiday. Travelers currently benefit from a robust online air travel marketplace in which people shopping for flights can obtain accurate, up‐to‐date information about schedules and fare options. But now, Google’s latest bid to dominate online travel, an area of the Internet where it currently faces competition, threatens to change all that.
That’s why we wrote a letter today asking all 535 Members of Congress to urge the Department of Justice to challenge Google’s proposed acquisition of ITA Software in order to keep prices low for consumers and protect future innovation.
